CRITERIA

1.      Admission is done strictly on merit basis and the college follows the guidelines /criteria fixed by the affiliating University.

2.      A student must cleared XII examination from a recognized Board/Council as prescribed by the University of Burdwan.

3.      A student seeking admission in Hons Course in any subject might have obtained at least 45% Marks in the subject as well as in aggregate in Class XII Examinations.

4.      Admission, if selected, can only be ensured by paying requisite fees to the college.

5.      Recommendation from any corner is neither desirable nor necessary for admission in any course in the college

6. Must have passed H.S. or equivalent Examination from recognized University/Board/ Institution in 2017. 2016, 2015, 2014.

7.For admission to Science Stream PASS in MATHEMATICS or Biology/LIFE SCIENCES is compulsory.

8. Students in Science or Commerce stream may apply for Humanities stream but not vice versa.

9.Students applying for Honours in following subjects must have studied the indicated subjects at H.S. Level or Equivalent Level.

10. Students seeking admission in Economics Hons must have pass marks in Mathematics in 10 + 2 level.

6.    Merit in subject will be calculated as follows:

                                       Merit point = A + M     (For Honours Course)

                                       Merit point = A               (For General Course) 

A is aggregate of percentage obtained in H.S. or equivalent examination based on 2 Languages + 3 best subjects    excluding Environmental Science and non-relevant subjects.

M is percentage obtained in Subject of Choice as defined below:

Note1:- For CBSE/ISC students with one Language only

            ‘A’ is Aggregate Percentage obtained based on 1 Language + 4 best Subjects  excluding Environmental Science and non-relevant subjects.

Note2:- For students who have appeared in only 4 subjects as per their board rules and have been declared ‘Passed’ by their respective board

             ‘A’ is Aggregate Percentage obtained based on 4 subjects only.

7. Students from Vocational courses are eligible to apply for stream as follows:
